Allen Dean grew up in a small town where he spent countless hours haunting the local Carnegie Library. A lifelong book lover, he built a personal library of favorites—until he ran out of space at home. He now lives and writes in a log house he built himself, surrounded by a wife and a couple of grown kids, a pack of beloved cats, and two loyal dogs. Known for his love of storytelling, becoming an author was a natural next step.
